Motihari News: As soon as both of them reached near Sikarhana bridge on the bike, a speeding truck coming from Chapwa hit them. The accident was so severe that both of them died on the spot.

Two people have died in a fierce collision between a truck and a bike in Motihari. The incident took place near Sikarhana bridge of Sugauli. A speeding truck hit a bike rider brother-in-law and sister-in-law. The accident was so severe that both died on the spot. There was a stir in the area after the incident. A crowd of people gathered around. Here, on receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating. The police seized the damaged bike. Also, both the bodies were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. It is being told that Ranu Mahato, son of Bhuni Lal Mahato, resident of Shirni Malahi, was bringing his sister-in-law (daughter of Bhuvar Mahato, resident of Gudra village of West Champaran) from his in-laws’ house. During this time the accident happened.

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law died on the spot

It is being told that after having dinner on Thursday night, they were taking their sister-in-law Sandhya Kumari from Gudra village to Gudra village. As soon as they reached near Sikarhana bridge, the brother-in-law and sister-in-law died on the spot after being hit by a speeding truck (UP22AT3258) coming from Chhapwa. On hearing the news of the incident, the nearby villagers gathered at the spot. The villagers informed the police. The family members reached the spot and started mourning.

My wife was unwell, so I went to bring my sister-in-law

Family members said that Ranu Kumar had come to Gudra to take his sister-in-law as his wife’s health had deteriorated. While taking his sister-in-law to their home, both of them died in an accident near Sikarhana bridge. Ranu Mahto left behind a son and wife. After the incident, the family members are inconsolable. The father has gone to Bangalore to earn money. Ranu Mahto used to work as a tractor driver while living in Shirni Malahi.
